88. HOMECOMING*
At last, life's worries shall all leave us,
Even our fiercest mortal struggles will end.
As worldly pains and fears forsake us,
No hurt nor doubt remain for God to mend.
Despite earth’s tears, our faith reminds us,
Our trials, at times so frightening and bleak,
Are not the purpose of the Plan which guides us,
But needed preface to the joy we seek.
For we shall rise through Jesus' grace and mercy,
And in His presence know His perfect love,
When, with the just, we sing in exaltation,
Hosannas in God's hallowed Home above.
