60. Until All Are One With Him
In our hearts we feel your anguish,
In our minds we hear your cries.
And we seem to see you weeping,
Though you live beyond our eyes.
To our spirits comes a message,
From the Heavens which is true.
In humility we witness,
Of our Father’s love for you.
You have come to doubt His goodness,
For this world assaults your soul.
And the wrongs of men and nations
Seem beyond the Lord’s control.
You are tired, you are thirsty,
There’s no place for you to rest.
And you dread each day’s new dawning,
As a painful, futile test.
You no longer can remember,
How we lived with hope above.
Then delighting as a family,
In our own Dear Parents’ love.
Countless spirits grew around us,
But They knew each heart and name.
And They sought to make us joyful,
Every child prized the same.
One by one They sent us earthward,
That we learn to be like Them.
Overcoming opposition,
In a world too prone to sin.
Some were asked to share the burdens
That you carry through your lives.
To lift your heavy feet and hands,
And dry your grieving eyes.
We were blessed from birth with freedom,
You, a slave in misery’s chains.
We were given peace and plenty,
You were hurt and starved and shamed.
To most, we are so different
That we live in worlds apart.
But we share an Elder Brother,
Who has died to join our hearts.
We can’t say why we are different.
We don’t know the mind of God.
Nor do we have that perfect faith,
To walk where Jesus trod.
But, as His gift, He’s offered us
The chance to heal our souls.
And He has asked we spend our lives
To strive to make you whole.
We, with more, have sacred duties,
Bounty’s debt that we must pay.
To a Father who has given us
Great blessings in our day.
So we call on all to join us,
As we labor with our Lord.
He would heal and bless each brother,
Until all share His reward.
Every man and every woman
Is a priceless child of God.
Every soul in every nation
Needs to hear Christ’s truth out loud.
So accept us as your brethren,
Pay no heed to speech or skin.
Jesus bids us serve each other,
Until all are one with Him.

Alma 34:27-28
"Yea, and when you do not cry unto the Lord, let your hearts be full, drawn out in prayer unto him continually for your welfare, and also for the welfare of those who are around you. And now behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, do not suppose that this is all; for after ye have done all these things, if ye turn away the needy, and the naked, and visit not the sick and afflicted, and impart of your substance, if ye have, to those who stand in need—I say unto you, if ye do not any of these things, behold, your prayer is vain, and availeth you nothing, and ye are as hypocrites who do deny the faith."
