46. Somewhere
I
There is a man whom I must serve,
Somewhere...the worthy man.
I know not who, or why, or when,
But every time I think of him,
I feel the Father’s love.
I’ll meet and serve this man.
II
There is a work that I must do,
Somehow, my life to give.
It’s place and time are not yet known,
But I must leave what I call home,
To do this work of love.
I’lI find and do this work.
III
There is a grief which I must share,
A pain that fills the earth.
And it will test my still weak heart,
Until I plead that Christ impart
The gift of grace He bears.
I’ll know and share this grief.
IV
There is a joy which I must seek,
And spread throughout the world.
So all my brothers I will greet,
And prayers I’ll raise before God’s seat,
Christ’s Peace to fill the earth.
I’ll seek and spread this joy.
