125. "From the Dust" [comes The Book of Mormon]
Circa BC 725, the Jewish prophet Isaiah foresaw the birth, mission, crucifixion, and resurrection of the Lord God, Jesus Christ. He wrote that Jesus' post-resurrection visits to the Americas, after his triumphal appearances to His disciples in Jerusalem, would be recorded by others in a book to be hidden in the earth. See, Isaiah 29:4 (KJV): "And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust."
During his ministry in Jerusalem, Jesus told his disciples, as recorded at John 10:16: "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
We have a record of Jesus' ministry and resurrection in the Old World preserved in the Bible--a history written on papyrus and similar materials and copied repeatedly through the ages. During that process, errors were made, and some epistles and writings were lost. It is a true, but imperfect, testament of Jesus Christ.

The Book of Mormon relates the amazing rise, then terrible fall, of Jesus' "other sheep" who were brought to the Americas by divine guidance and power. Here, prophet-historians preserved their sacred writings on metal plates. With the apostasy and destruction of Jesus' Mesoamerican Church, Moroni, the last surviving faithful prophet of his people, hid the sacred gold plates in the earth, to be given to future descendants to teach them of Jesus Christ. (Circa 420 A.D.)
2 Nephi 26:16 "For those who shall be destroyed shall speak unto them out of the ground, and their speech shall be low out of the dust, and their voice shall be as one that hath a familiar spirit; for the Lord God will give unto him power, that he may whisper concerning them, even as it were out of the ground; and their speech shall whisper out of the dust."

In 1827, Joseph Smith was directed by a resurrected Moroni to the location where the gold plates had been buried in upstate New York in fulfillment of prior prophecies. Joseph wrote about Moroni visits: “He said there was a book deposited, written upon gold plates, giving an account of the former inhabitants of this continent, and the source from whence they sprang. He also said that the fulness of the everlasting Gospel was contained in it, as delivered by the Savior to the ancient inhabitants."
"From the dust" has come The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, companion scripture to the Bible, which affirms that He is the Son of God, and that only through obedience to God's laws and ordinances may we return, in honor and glory, to our Heavenly Father through the Atonement of Christ, our Savior, Master, and King. We invite all the world to read this "other book" and see just how "familiar" its precepts and teachings are.
125. "From the Dust"
[A Song "In Progress"--I am looking for someone to create sheet music for this piece--I have an original melody.]
From the dust, comes a voice
Strangely new, and yet familiar.
And the voice, from a book,
Tells us truths we need to know.
How God’s Son came to Earth,
Sent to teach us of the Father,
And the love that Father has
For all His children here below.
Father’s seed, on this world,
Were all made in Father’s image,
Each one known, each one loved,
And each with gifts to help us home.
But the cares of this world,
And that fact that we’ve forgotten,
All the things that Father taught us,
Lead to danger as we roam.
Mortals, now, we must seek,
For the Father’s love to guide us.
And his Son to stand us beside us.
For we feel so much alone.
And we face, many roads,
Which confuse, deceive, and tempt us,
For truth's enemy would keep us
From the path to Father’s throne.
Lord of Lord, King of Kings
Intercessor with the Father.
Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh,
He is the Way, the Truth, the Light.
Hear Him now, read the book,
It will lead you back to Father,
For it came from Father’s prophets,
Another Testament of Christ.

[Hear the "familiar" voice, read The Book of Mormon, learn of Jesus' guidance and deliverance of God's peoples brought to Mesoamerica from diverse places, and then follow the only true road back to our Father in Heaven, the road of Jesus Christ, "the Way, the Truth, the Light". ]
