32. Cherished Daughter, Valiant Servant
Cherished daughter, valiant servant,
Your dear Father waits above.
And He holds for you choice blessings,
Which you’ve earned by faith and love.
He has promised you His Kingdom,
Through the suffering of His Son.
In His time, He'll bid you go there,
That, with joy, you’ll live as one.
Cherished daughter, valiant servant,
Jesus will yet speak your praise.
And on earth we join His pleadings
That the Father ease your days.
We have seen your constant service
Through your trials and your tears.
And you’ve taught us by example,
To seek grace for all our fears.
Cherished daughter, valiant servant,
Wait with patience for your call.
For the Spirit’s peaceful whisper,
Tells us Father shall give all
That He has and is to bless you,
For the life you’ve given Him.
And, someday, we too would join you,
Leaving this world’s pain and sin.
Cherished daughter, valiant servant,
Keep our memory in your heart.
That the links of love we’ve fashioned,
Never dim and never part.
So if future years should find us,
Separated or alone,
Your still faithful prayers will guide us
To Our Father’s Heavenly home.
