76. When Everything Is Ready
“How long,” I cried, “must I still wait?
I feel such pain today.
I seek to change, I strive to serve,
But doubts and trials stay!”
Then to my mind, came words of peace,
And through my tears came sight:
“When everything is ready,
And when everything is right.”
Yes, when everything is right,
And when everything is ready.
When my frail heart beats true,
And when my weak will is steady.
He’ll conquer all my fears,
And I’ll win each needful fight.
When everything is ready,
And when everything is right.
I persevere, renewed in hope,
I know His love is sure.
With faith I pledge my will to Him,
Who asks me to endure.
In time, He’ll answer every prayer.
I’ll know His perfect light.
When everything is ready,
And when everything is right.

“Verily I say unto you my friends, fear not, let your hearts be comforted; yea, rejoice evermore, and in everything give thanks; Waiting patiently on the Lord, for your prayers have entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth, and are recorded with this seal and testament—the Lord hath sworn and decreed that they shall be granted. Therefore, he giveth this promise unto you, with an immutable covenant that they shall be fulfilled; and all things wherewith you have been afflicted shall work together for your good, and to my name’s glory, saith the Lord.”
