35. Eric's Song
All my life it seems I’ve wandered,
All across the west I’ve roamed.
Though I’ve lived in many places,
Few have made me feel at home.
But I’ve never journeyed blindly,
For the Savior was my guide,
And in every test and trial,
He was standing at my side,.
Yes, through every doubt and sorrow,
He was always at my side.
I was taught on Utah’s mountains,
But I preached on Kansas’ plains,
Though my path’s been long and rocky,
There’s a sweetness that remains.
Oh, I’ve had my share of sadness,
But I live to thank the Lord.
By His mercy, through my struggles,
I have found a choice reward.
Yes, I’ll be forever grateful,
You were sent me from the Lord.
As a boy I loved to wrestle,
Playing with the strength of youth,
But I found a greater power,
Fighting for His gospel’s truth
And in time I learned what He knew--
That no man should live alone.
Kneeling at His temple’s alter,
I will vow to make a home.
Yes, with faith in Christ, our Savior,
Let us join to make a home.
You are the joy of my existence,
And in your eyes I see His light,
You are a chosen, faithful daughter,
Dedicated to His right.
I love you for your happy laughter,
And your song which fills my heart.
In His love we’ll grow together,
Never more to live apart.
Yes, we’ll serve the Lord, forever,
By His grace we’ll never part.

Doctrine and Covenants 132:19
“And again, verily I say unto you, if a man marry a wife by my word, which is my law, and by the new and everlasting covenant, and it is sealed unto them by the Holy Spirit of promise, by him who is anointed, unto whom I have appointed this power and the keys of this priesthood; and it shall be said unto them Ye shall come forth in the first resurrection; and if it be after the first resurrection, in the next resurrection; and shall inherit thrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers, dominions, all heights and depths then shall it be written in the Lamb's Book of Life, . . . if ye abide in my covenant . . . it shall be done unto them in all things whatsoever my servant hath put upon them, in time, and through all eternity; and shall be of full force when they are out of the world; and they shall pass by the angels, and the gods, which are set there, to their exaltation and glory in all things, as hath been sealed upon their heads, which glory shall be a fulness and a continuation of the seeds forever and ever.”
