63. When All Is Done
We strut upon our little stage,
Believing all within our power,
And so we find ourselves …amazed,
How soon arrives our final hour!
Then all is done. Yes, all is done.
Our mortal triumphs seem so slight,
Our greatest dreams have yet to live.
Bewildered, we may ask the Light,
Have we so little left to give,
That death may come, this earth life to be done?
Will loved ones still recall our face?
Will something tangible endure?
How hard, it seems, we run this race!
Yet, now we ask, is nothing sure?
Will we have won, when all is done?
So we must strive to live a life
That qualifies for Jesus’ grace,
Despite brief tumult, passing strife,
If “eye to eye” we see Christ’s face,
Then we have won; if like Him we’ve become.
Then all is truly done. Well done.

Alma 34:32
"For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors."
Alma 36:26
"For because of the word which he has imparted unto me, behold, many have been born of God, and have tasted as I have tasted, and have seen eye to eye as I have seen; therefore they do know of these things of which I have spoken, as I do know; and the knowledge which I have is of God."
