160. Friends Who Intercede
[A Testimony to Comfort and Strengthen Our Young Men.]
Anxious children, be not fearful,
Heaven sees your trials and pains.
And Messiah knows your sufferings, (1)
As you take His Holy Name. (2)
Every promise shall be honored,
Every good gift shall endure,
For this world's errors and failings
Won't erase God’s blessings, sure.
You are children of The Covenant,
You are heirs to Kings and Queens.
Seeking High and Holy Places,
You can know what most just dream.
But the Path of Truth is painful,
And your soul must bear each test,
Which your loving Father requires,
‘Fore you reach His Glorious Rest.
Do you know of some who struggle?
Has the Spirit whispered names,
Of the lonely, ill, or frightened,
Who now see a world insane?
Do not wait for signs of anguish,
Hasten to each soul in need,
Cheer and lift and bless each sufferer,
Be the “Friends who Intercede”.
All your troubles shall soon vanish.
Every grief replaced with joy.
As the Father “bares His arm”, soon— (3)
All His mighty powers employed.
Then He shall reward the Faithful,
Those who did not shirk the fight.
And shall grant them exaltation, (4)
Through His everlasting Light. (5)
