115: I Am Liberty
The blood of patriots fills my veins,
Their courage fills my heart!
And Heaven's fiery voice is heard,
In the message I impart.
All good I do, all that I have,
Is God's great gift to thee.
Too few have known me all their lives--
For I Am Liberty.
Long ago at Marathon's Plains
I preserved the freedom of Greece.
And at the Spartan's "hottest gates"
I held without relief.
My weapons may be rock or bow,
Or arms such as titans might see
To battle for truth and life itself--
For I Am Liberty.
At Valley Forge, the farmers' sons
Stained snow red with their blood.
My beloved at Midway and at the Bulge,
Linked their souls against the flood.
Despite the depths and horrors of war,
Which you pray you will never see,
Though courage be rare, I'll still be there--
For I Am Liberty.
Again, the foes of honor and law
Conspire to scorn my name.
Their speech, their arms, their vile demands,
"More modern", and yet the same.
But the powers of Heaven are in my hands,
And as long as you still believe,
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail--
For I Am Liberty.

POSTSCRIPT:
The April, 2015 General Conference fulfilled my every desire and need. Profound questions and deep concerns were addressed with clarity, and the start of solutions to my challenges made freely known. Elder Hales memorable discourse, "Preserving Agency, Protecting Religious Freedom", addressed a theme which has been the focus of enormous attention by many of the Brethren. Their testimonies and warnings merit the greatest scrutiny. Those whose eyes and ears are open cannot mistake the "line in the sand" drawn by the Lord's prophets, seers, and revelators in our day.
