68. Come Sing Your Song to Me
Each precious soul who comes to Earth,
Until they die, and from their birth,
May sing a song of infinite worth--
Come, sing your song to me.
I fear few hear your truest song--
Your doubts so great, your griefs so strong,
They only hear harsh notes prolonged,
Of pains which should not be.
But I, weak soul, am asked to write,
These words to calm your troubled nights--
A modest mercy from God’s light,
Our mortal eyes can’t see.
And I, poor servant, promise still,
That God will every promise fulfill,
If you but strive to do His will,
You’ll live eternally.
Become a child of Jesus’ grace--
A future heir of that holiest place,
Which knows no bounds of time or space,
From sin and sorrow set free.
Ignore, I pray, the vile and vain--
Those sick and soured by mortal fame,
Whose works and words each day proclaim,
In Satan’s grasp they’ll be.
Come join me in this fight with sin.
Come feel the Holy Ghost within.
Your Savior asks you start again.
Come, sing your song to me.
