23. In Temple White
This wicked world disturbs my peace,
It’s furies threaten me.
I plead that all its tauntings cease,
My spirit to be free.
I need a refuge for my soul,
A light within the night.
So to my Savior I will go,
Adorned in temple white.
In temple white, in temple white,
I worship Jesus Christ.
In temple white, in temple white,
I feel His sacrifice.
Despite what sinful men may say,
And even if some brothers stray,
I’ll know my Savior’s love today,
Adorned in temple white.
